For the 2022-23 academic year, Manor Mead School has been allocated £7,322.

Summary of planned provision at Virginia Water

Explorative/Soft Play £1,070

Funds will allow our Key Stage 1 pupils to attend a local gymnastics facility. Pupils will have the opportunity to develop social communication and interaction skills, balance, coordination and motorial skills, reduce levels of anxiety, experience real life problem solving situations, build resilience and improve attention, focus and creativity skills.

Swimming £2,352

Funds will allow us to employ a specialist swimming teacher and access an outdoor swimming pool to ensure our Key Stage 2 pupils have an understanding of water safety, develop swimming skills and experience the associated health benefits of swimming and gain an important life skill.

Specialist dance teacher £ 3,900

Funding allows us to employ a specialist dance teacher who is able to deliver dance and music sessions across the school.  As well as developing physical skills this provision develops pupil confidence and self-esteem, encouraging group work and interaction with others.

The impact of the school’s Sports Funding spend will be assessed annually and pupil progress demonstrated through case studies for individual pupils.
